The People’s Cinematic Voices

Would you like to perform music for film at this June’s Silents by the Sea festival?

A chorus of voices will join the Silents by the Sea improvising musicians to provide musical accompaniment to some of the short films in our Marvellous Méliès event on Sunday afternoon, 9th June, at Morecambe Winter Gardens.

The People’s Cinematic Voices is open to everyone - whether or not you think of yourself as a singer. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm - and it’s free to take part.

Come and have a go, or just find out more, at the taster sessions in Lancaster and Morecambe:

Monday 3 June, 5.30pm - 7pm at the Gregson Arts Centre, Moorgate, Lancaster LA1 3PY.

Tuesday 4 June, 4pm - 5.45pm at More Music, 13 - 17 Devonshire Road, Morecambe, LA3 1QT.

Or, just come along to the festival weekend singing sessions, which will be led by internationally renowned vocal improviser Guillermo Rozenthuler:

Saturday 8th June, 2pm - 4.30pm at Stanley Road Baptist Church, Stanley Road, Morecambe, LA3 1UP, then 5pm-6.30pm at More Music

and, Sunday 9th June, 11am - 1pm at Morecambe Winter Gardens

…all leading up to the performance on Sunday 9th June at 2pm!
